Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Microfabrication Process Engineer to join our team at Panaxium. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for the development and qualification of processes for micro-scale medical implants.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and debug rapid prototyping processes for micro-scale medical implants using photolithography, thin-film deposition, and etching techniques.
- Lead the development, qualification, and transfer of processes to production, ensuring high-quality and regulatory compliance.
- Train and provide technical support to process and production personnel, promoting a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Participate in the selection, procurement, and qualification of new fabrication and metrology equipment, collaborating with the Maintenance team for preventative and curative maintenance.
- Stay up-to-date with new developments and innovations relevant to prototyping and manufacturing, applying your expertise to drive process improvements.
- Contribute to the development of production design rules for proprietary manufacturing, including process stabilization, monitoring, and qualification.
- Participate in the development and writing of design dossiers for medical clinical trials, adhering to current standards, including ISO 13485.
- Collaborate with external subcontractors, drawing up specifications and participating in supplier selection, ensuring seamless integration with our production processes.
- Contribute to the generation and protection of intellectual property, safeguarding our innovative solutions.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on precision and quality, adhering to design for manufacturing rules and strict regulatory requirements.
- Creative problem-solver with excellent analytical skills, leveraging your expertise to apply innovative solutions to complex challenges.
- Passionate about solving complex medical problems, with a deep drive to make a meaningful impact.
- Collaborative team player with excellent communication skills, able to work effectively with clinical partners and internal stakeholders.
Qualifications and Experience
- Engineering degree (Bac+5) with at least 5 years of experience in industrial process development for microelectronics/microsystems.
- Fluent in French, with a strong understanding of English.
- Knowledge of microelectronics production processes and associated regulatory requirements.
- Experience in medical device manufacturing and regulatory processes is a plus, but not a requirement.
- Legally entitled to work in France.
