Position Overview:
Mutex is seeking a skilled Senior Underwriting Consultant - Group Life Insurance to join our dynamic team. This role is essential for managing and pricing insurance contracts for significant corporate clients.
Your primary responsibilities will include evaluating group insurance proposals, establishing and maintaining client accounts, and overseeing the renewal process across various underwriting divisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis & Pricing:
- Assess requests for proposals from underwriters and clients, determining appropriate pricing for group life insurance policies.
- Collaborate with internal teams (management, legal, configuration) to formulate underwriting proposals and present them as needed.
- Ensure a balance between underwriting standards, technical integrity, and business growth objectives.
- Inventory Management & Results Analysis:
- Prepare and scrutinize financial reports from clients in partnership with relevant technical departments.
- Make recommendations for pricing adjustments and contribute to technical assessments for risk management.
- Document technical processes, including analysis reports and financial protocols.
- Advisory & Support:
- Mentor and train new team members.
- Offer technical guidance to the distribution network, suggesting pricing or contractual modifications based on client needs, and assist in negotiations.
- Provide internal technical assistance.
Qualifications & Skills:
The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in underwriting large group accounts within the realm of group life insurance, along with a strong background in establishing client accounts.
A minimum of 7 years in underwriting custom large accounts and technical management is required, ideally with an actuarial background or equivalent.
