About the Role

The Core Product - Developer Experience Team is seeking a talented Infrastructure Engineer Apprentice to join our ranks. Our mission is to empower development teams by streamlining their deployment and release processes, ensuring fast, secure, and reliable software delivery. We achieve this by meticulously analyzing delivery pipelines and optimizing key DevOps performance metrics.

Your Impact

As an Infrastructure Engineer Apprentice, you'll play a pivotal role in automating one of our core build tools. You'll collaborate closely with diverse teams, working hand-in-hand with developers to enhance their build and release workflows. Your responsibilities will encompass:

  • Automating build processes using cutting-edge technologies.
  • Collaborating with development teams to refine their build and release strategies.
  • Monitoring system health, identifying anomalies, investigating issues, resolving incidents, and documenting post-mortems.
  • Participating in code reviews to ensure high-quality solutions.
  • Implementing and optimizing Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and the Four Key Metrics of our services.
  • Contributing to the reduction and automation of repetitive tasks within the team.

Your Profile

This opportunity is ideal for a highly motivated individual with:

  • A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and principles, including Docker, Git, Ansible, Jenkins, Helm, Terraform, Molecule, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, and Golang.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to adapt to diverse environments.
  • A collaborative spirit and a willingness to share knowledge.
  • A passion for learning, creativity, and innovation.
  • Strong writing skills for creating well-documented procedures (English proficiency is preferred).
