Energy Transition Specialist

The ideal candidate will play a key role in the investment cycle, conducting market research, supporting transaction execution, managing investments, and contributing to the team's development.
Responsibilities:- Market Research:
- Conduct market/industry research across the energy transition/infrastructure sector
- Monitor market trends, opportunities, and risks to provide regular updates to the team
- Support Transaction Execution:
- Assess the relevance of energy transition-related investment opportunities
- Conduct and review due diligence work performed by third-party advisers
- Review and challenge business plans, develop a deep understanding of the regulatory/market environment, and carry out risk assessments
- Build and/or manage complex financial models to evaluate investment opportunities
- Prepare investment memoranda to present and recommend investment opportunities to the investment committee
- Asset Management:
- Monitor operational and financial performance of portfolio companies
- Participate in board meetings with management of portfolio companies
- Identify and help implement optimization and/or growth initiatives for portfolio companies
- Perform valuation reviews of portfolio companies on a periodic basis
- Team Development:
- Participate in and contribute to weekly team meetings, investment committee meetings, and valuation committee meetings
- Develop new and cultivate existing network of industry contacts to improve access to information for the team
- Recruit and supervise interns
18 months to 3 years of experience in investment or financing gained at a private equity/infrastructure fund, an investment bank, a financial adviser, or a corporate.
First experience in M&A.
Graduate degree in finance, business administration, engineering, or any relevant discipline.
