Position Overview

The Assistant Site Manager will collaborate with the Site Manager to execute the established site operations and maintenance strategy. This role involves overseeing a variety of operational activities on-site, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, efficiency, and compliance with relevant regulations and company policies.

In addition to managing diverse operational tasks that require a foundational understanding of multiple technical disciplines, the Assistant Site Manager will also take a leadership role in a specific technical area, focusing on the enhancement and optimization of processes within that discipline.

During the operational and maintenance preparation phase, the Assistant Site Manager will support the O&M team in establishing site operations by leading the development and execution of site processes and procedures, implementing the O&M strategy, and collaborating with the construction team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure readiness of the site and O&M for operational phases.
  • Develop and implement operational processes, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Identify training needs for the O&M Site Team.
  • Assist in the recruitment process for the O&M Site Team.
  • Lead the implementation of O&M site operations.
  • Coordinate with the construction team for the handover of the wind farm.
  • Foster relationships with project stakeholders and key personnel to facilitate transitions between O&M readiness and construction teams.

Main Functions

  • Plan and coordinate Offshore Operations & Maintenance activities, including daily and long-term planning.
  • Manage work permits and ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
  • Oversee and supervise third-party contractors to ensure quality delivery.
  • Develop and implement management processes and procedures for the site.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure operational management tools are accurately populated with data and work order requirements.
  • Report on operational activities.
  • Oversee inventory management of spare parts, tools, and equipment.
  • Support and prepare for high-voltage operations.

Qualifications

  • A degree and professional qualification in a relevant field such as Engineering or Contract Management.
  • Experience in the commercial and contractual aspects of engineering.
  • Familiarity with warranty claims and negotiation processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple contracts under tight deadlines.
  • Postgraduate experience in the industry, particularly in Offshore Wind, Onshore Wind, or similar sectors.
  • Strong self-management skills with a focus on performance delivery and the ability to handle a diverse workload while achieving high-quality results.

Language Proficiency

  • Fluent in French.
