Join Our Component Development Center Interiors
You will be part of our Component Development Center Interiors, a key actor in the design and development of interior train parts for rolling stock, with over 180 people from 20 different nationalities, working on both French and international projects.
About the Role
As a Costing Manager, you will be responsible for managing a multicultural team of costing engineers. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Managing, training, and recruiting a multicultural team of costing engineers
- Supporting sourcing buyers by providing internal costing targets and challenging supplier costing
- Ensuring that proposed designs are in line with allocated budgets before RFQ launch
- Evaluating project cost viability from supplier business award to serial production
- Creating, improving, and updating costing tools and databases regularly
- Leading design to cost and manufacture to cost workshops with suppliers and internal departments throughout project life
- Increasing costing expertise of CDS Interiors Engineering teams
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Experience in costing and team management, with industrial or engineering experience in the railway industry being a plus
- Fluency in English
- Experience in complex or international projects
- Engineering school degree or equivalent with mechanical knowledge (composite, metallurgy, plastic)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Catia V5
- Experience in engineering or industry
- Good knowledge in Excel
