Based in Berlin, Germany, SEEK Development is a consulting organization dedicated to enhancing human development on a global scale. We collaborate with prominent institutions in the field of global development, focusing on strategy and policy formulation, organizational evaluation, knowledge generation, and advocacy.
We are seeking Independent Country Specialists who possess in-depth knowledge and experience in the development sector to provide 12-15 days of consultancy support in crafting a comprehensive donor profile and delivering pertinent geopolitical insights throughout the year.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIESAs an Independent Country Specialist, your role will encompass the following:
- Geopolitical Insights:
Conduct monthly assessments of significant geopolitical trends and policy updates relevant to your market. - Provide insights on foreign policy matters pertinent to multilateralism and development banks.
- Keep track of key events and initiatives within the development sector.
Donor Profile Development:
- Prepare a detailed donor profile for your market, including contextual analysis, significant political events, and key stakeholders.
- Engage in briefing sessions with clients to address follow-up inquiries and offer additional insights.
SEEK Development will supply a structured template and quantitative data to assist in the creation of a 10-slide presentation for each market.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONSTo excel in this role, you should possess:
- A robust understanding of development priorities, budgetary processes, and financing flows within your market.
- Comprehensive knowledge of the political and policy environment.
- Established connections with key individuals in government, parliament, and civil society organizations.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective engagement with diverse stakeholders.
- The ability to distill complex information into clear and concise language.
We aim to recruit one Country Specialist for each of the specified markets, with a strong background in the country and a thorough understanding of the development financing landscape. This freelance position will offer competitive daily rates, with the potential for future collaboration on additional projects.
Consultancy Role: Independent Country Specialist for specified markets.
Time Commitment: Expected to allocate a minimum of 12-15 days of support throughout the consultancy period.
