Senior Data Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our team in Bordeaux, France. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and implementing large-scale data processing systems, as well as a strong background in cloud-based data warehouses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement data processing pipelines using Apache Spark and Kafka
  • Collaborate with the data team to develop and maintain a cloud-based data warehouse
  • Develop and extend infrastructure components needed for stream processing in an AWS environment
  • Be the in-house expert on systems, processes, and software to best track, store, process, and access data
  • Design and evolve our data processing pipeline to feed both BI needs and machine learning needs to serve the business

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional experience in Big Data, Data Engineering, or Business Intelligence
  • Excellent programming skills in Python, Scala, or Java
  • Commercial solution architecture experience in Big Data technologies and environments
  • Ability to maintain and engineer ETL scripts and data pipeline
  • Extensive experience in writing SQL and experience with Bash scripting
  • Experience with cloud-based data warehouses and analytical databases
  • Masters' degree in Computer Science or related studies
  • Strong collaboration skills with data stakeholders
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in Golang, streaming frameworks like Kafka, Tableau
  • Knowledge of both Agile and Scrum methodologies
  • Deep understanding of MPP & NoSQL databases
