Job Description:

Airbus Defence and Space is seeking a highly skilled IVV Manager for Navigation Sub-systems to join their team in Toulouse. As a key member of the Navigation - ATM Engineering & Products department, you will be responsible for the definition, development, and IVV of critical Ground Systems or Functional chains for Navigation and Air Traffic Management (ATM).

The department is currently working on two European Navigation ground systems: GALILEO, Europe's own navigation-satellite system, and EGNOS, the European Satellite Based Augmentation System (SBAS) that improves GALILEO and GPS performances.

As an IVV Manager, you will participate in integration and test activities for the Egnos V3 local area network. You will develop your knowledge in the GNSS/SBAS network domain and be involved in Airbus Defence & Space's development in this exciting field.

Your Challenges:

  • Define and manage IVV activities and report to the Egnos V3 local area network project responsible.
  • Review the IVV dossier produced.
  • Participate in IVV reviews (TRR, TRBs).
  • Define and perform acceptance tests of the Egnos V3 local area networks.
  • Define and maintain test cases/test procedures.
  • Manage the integration of Egnos V3 local area networks.
  • Perform and coordinate the Egnos V3 local area network test procedures execution on platforms.
  • Collect qualification credits.
  • Manage anomalies/non-conformances resolution with the Egnos V3 local area network engineering team and system IVQ team.
  • Produce the Egnos V3 local area network IVV dossier expected at TRRs and TRBs.
  • Interface with the IVV system and subcontractors IVV teams.

Your Profile:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in IVV activities, ideally on ground Space Systems networks.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in systems and software engineering.
  • Experience on infrastructure and network IVV is a strong asset.
  • Ability to set up IVV industrial processes.
  • Knowledge of quality processes related to DO178 or DO254 would be helpful.
  • Ability to translate requirements into tests.
  • Ability to challenge subcontractors on IVV topics.
  • Ability to understand and explain technical issues.
  • Willingness to do practical work on the test platform.
  • Good knowledge of IVV processes, methods, and tools (RQM, GIT, SCOPE, PMOT...).
  • IT skills (Linux) are recommended.
  • Knowledge of Wireshark.
  • Proactive obstacle remover who can identify actions to undertake to lead change in a wide and complex organization.
  • Natural networker and leader with a strong ability to influence in hierarchical and non-hierarchical relationships.
  • Strong emotional intelligence with an ability to empathize and understand people and organization pain points and roadblocks.
  • Accurate, rigorous, and mission-oriented, with a team spirit.
  • Language skills: fluent level English and French (must be able to negotiate).

This position requires a security clearance or eligibility for clearance by recognized authorities.
