Michelin Oy seeks an exceptional Senior Java Kafka Developer to lead our team in developing and maintaining real-time data processing solutions using Kafka Streams. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with Kafka Streams, strong software engineering skills, and a focus on architecture and functional analysis.

As a Senior Java Kafka Developer at Michelin Oy, you will be responsible for architecting, designing, and implementing real-time data processing solutions using Kafka Streams. You will develop and maintain microservices using Java and Spring Boot, ensuring the integration and smooth functioning of 280+ microservices on Kubernetes.

The successful candidate will also lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment. They will conduct regular team meetings, code reviews, and performance evaluations, while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business goals.

In this role, you will perform functional analysis to identify the best technical solutions for business processes, ensuring high-quality code through best practices in software engineering and architecture. You will troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, continuously improving system performance and reliability.

This is a full-time position based in Clermont-Ferrand, France, with opportunities to collaborate with international teams. If you are a proactive, vocal, and human approach to team collaboration and problem-solving, we encourage you to apply.

Estimated Salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per year

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Development: Architect, design, and implement real-time data processing solutions using Kafka Streams.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team environment.
  • Technical Excellence: Perform functional analysis, ensure high-quality code, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Act as a liaison between the development team and business stakeholders, communicate effectively across decentralized teams and time zones.

Mandatory Skills:

  • Technical Proficiency: Extensive experience with Kafka Streams, strong software engineering skills, proficient in Java and Spring Boot, microservices architecture, and Kubernetes.
  • Leadership and Communication: Proven experience leading and mentoring a software development team, exceptional communication skills, ability to work effectively in a decentralized team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in supply chain management or related fields, familiarity with downstream supply chain processes and orchestration, previous experience working with international teams.
