Job Summary

The Preventive Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing thorough preventive, curative, and corrective maintenance for the Apartments. This includes performing technical maintenance in the event of a malfunction and conducting monthly checks of the technical installations of the Apartment.

Key Responsibilities

  • In conjunction with the Cluster Director of Engineering, ensures the smooth running of the apartment's technical installations.
  • Interacts with other Departments when necessary to provide additional or specialized services for functions, promotions, and festivities.
  • Servicing the apartments in case of any breakdowns of equipment or fixtures in the rooms.

Professional Techniques/Production

  • To provide a courteous, professional, efficient, and flexible service at all times, following the Standards of Performance.
  • To have a full working knowledge and capability to supervise, correct, and demonstrate all duties and tasks in the assigned Place of Work to the standard set.
  • To be entirely flexible and adapt to rotate within the different sub-departments of the engineering Division or any other Department of the hotel as assigned.
  • To perform all duties and tasks when rotated or assigned to another Department as per Master Task List for that Department.
  • Ensures that health, hygiene, and safety regulations are complied with and applied in the department in compliance with safety and security standards.
  • To be fully conversant with all services and facilities offered.
  • To ensure that the Place of Work and surrounding area is kept clean and organized at all times.
  • To ensure a courteous and professional service at all times.

Professional Experience

  • Carries out occasional repair work as required.
  • Prevents problems from occurring in the apartment's technical installations.
  • Implements the corrective action plans as communicated by the Cluster DOE. Follows the preventive maintenance program.
  • Applies water hygiene procedures.
  • Repairs and maintenance of all types of equipment in Apartments.
  • Ensures that the supplied uniform is clean and in good repair. Always maintain a clean and tidy appearance before entering a apartment or public areas.
  • Ensures that the plant room, workshop, and related areas are kept clean and tidy condition.
  • Repairs and maintenance of air conditioning equipment such as FCUs, AHUs, and Chillers.

Generic Aspects on Hygiene/Personal Safety/Environment/Confidentiality

  • Ensure proper care of all equipment and furniture entrusted for Heartists use.
  • Be well-familiar with the hotel's policies and procedures, well-acquainted with the physical layout of the hotel and its premises, and knowledgeable of the hotel's emergency procedures in regard to fire, medical, bomb threat, black-out, and evacuation.
  • Knows the safety regulations and ensures their application & ensures the safety of people and property in the hotel.
  • Respects and ensures respect of the hotel's commitments to the "Environment Charter" of Sustainability program (saving energy, recycling, sorting waste etc).
  • Understands and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Heartists Handbook and the Hotel's policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety.
  • Ensure that confidential records and other confidential information are properly safeguarded and are not removed from the office.
  • Does not disclose any financial information or any other information of the Accor Hotels.
