Staff Engineer - Cloud Security Management
We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Engineer to join our Cloud Security Management team at Datadog. As a Staff Engineer, you will play a key role in driving and collaborating on projects that take our cloud security capabilities to the next level.
Our Cloud Security Management platform delivers a comprehensive cloud resource inventory, real-time threat detection, continuous configuration audits, identity risk assessments, and vulnerability management across your entire cloud infrastructure. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and driving high-priority, high-visibility projects to increase product value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and drive high-priority, high-visibility projects to increase product value.
- Provide technical leadership across one or several areas of the security portfolio.
- Lead and guide other engineers through architectural platform decisions.
- Identify potential system risks and design solutions to address them.
- Provide input on prioritizing engineering-led planning and roadmaps.
- Collaborate with internal product teams to design solutions for customer needs.
Requirements:
- You have a proven track record of executing and delivering cloud software solutions.
- You can design architectures to solve complex problems at high scale.
- You can get down to the low-level when needed.
- A fast learner who is able to pick up new ideas in software and security on the fly.
- Confident presenting your ideas and opinions in a manner that can be challenged, while responding well to feedback.
- You enjoy mentoring and coaching other engineers to become even stronger.
- You have a product-oriented mindset and care deeply about the customer and the customer experience.
- (Plus) You have interest/experience working with or building security products.
