SuperGrid Institute, a leading player in the energy transition, is seeking a highly skilled Engineering Analyst to strengthen its teams. As part of the C&P prototyping and HIL validation group, you will participate in the development of innovative high and medium voltage direct current (HVDC and MVDC) power systems.
Main Responsibilities:- Contribute to the technical improvement of the real-time simulation laboratory, focusing on rapid prototyping and HIL testing of industrial relays and controllers.
- Develop and validate DC Grid controls, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems.
- Coordinate internal and external activities to implement specified HIL setups, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Interact with customers throughout the project lifecycle, from pre-sale to delivery.
- Design and maintain a control room/SCADA interface for demonstration purposes, showcasing the institute's capabilities.
- Establish and maintain a shared competence within the Architecture and System program, focusing on communication and telecommunication techniques for HVDC grid automation, protection, and control.
- Participate in the structuration of technical and commercial offers, ensuring alignment with the institute's goals.
- Organize demonstration visits, publish technical papers, and participate in conferences and events, promoting the institute's expertise.
We seek an Engineer or PhD specializing in Electrical Engineering, with 3-5 years of experience in modeling and simulation of electrical systems (high voltage). Key skills include:
- Proficiency in software such as PSCAD, EMTP, and/or HYPERSIM.
- Knowledge of power electronics and controls.
- Familiarity with HVDC switching and breaking equipment, fault current limiting technologies.
- Understanding of communication for electrical substation automation (IEC 61850 standard).
- Programming skills in C/C++ and Python (a plus).
- Excellent command of English.
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills.
