We are seeking an experienced Electrical Surveyor to join our team in France, based in the Saint Nazaire Area. The successful candidate will be responsible for surveying our new building vessel projects in the country, including activities through all project phases and disciplines.
Main Responsibilities:- Apply and interpret International and Classification Rules and regulations related to the maritime industry.
- Perform work which involves conventional engineering practices but may include complex problems, such as the ability to identify conflicting integration designs in Electrical and automation systems for Maritime.
- Be responsible for, but not limited to, the electrical, automation and navigation disciplines during the new building of the cruise vessel from a Classification point of view.
- Survey of material and components for the maritime industry in manufacturer's facilities.
- Approval of drawings and documentation related but not limited to, Electrical and automation discipline.
- Work in close cooperation with and under the supervision of DNV Project Manager at the Yard.
- Effectively interact and consult clients for Rules and design aspects.
- Apply theoretical and practical engineering knowledge in problem-solving.
- Manage our clients together with other relevant parts of our organization.
