Position Overview:
The Sustainable Procurement Manager is pivotal in overseeing and enhancing all purchasing activities related to transportation and operational expenditures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and optimize procurement processes for transportation and general expenses.
- Develop an annual strategic purchasing framework in collaboration with senior management.
- Ensure that all transport partners adhere to the Group's procurement guidelines.
- Maintain a comprehensive library of contracts for all suppliers.
- Possess a Bachelor's degree along with 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in procurement or transportation roles.
- Fluency in both French and English is essential.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the road transport market and its regulatory environment.
- Exhibit effective communication skills, both verbal and written, in French and English.
Additional Insights:
- Reports directly to the General Manager and participates as a member of the Executive Committee.
- Collaborates with Supply Chain managers across various factories and central purchasing teams.
- Responsible for managing glass transportation operations with significant annual turnover and numerous transport orders.
- Oversees freight operations and transport tracking through the Control Tower, while the Quality team addresses disputes and ensures transport safety.
- Part of a larger Supply Chain Division focused on glass products.
- Saint-Gobain is committed to fostering a diverse workforce and promoting inclusivity for individuals with disabilities.
- This role offers flexibility with telecommuting options.
