Project Planning Manager Job Description

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Project Planning Manager to join our team. As a Project Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain project schedules to meet customer commitments
  • Work closely with Senior Project Managers and Sub-System Managers to provide time management information
  • Manage planning deliverables and facilitate stakeholder synchronization
  • Contribute to the Project Time Management Plan and build project schedules based on internal standards and contractual targets
  • Participate in Earned Value Management and validate project baselines
  • Ensure consistency of stakeholder commitments and manage schedule interfaces
  • Perform schedule analysis and trade-offs to address gaps or schedule issues
  • Organize and lead project schedule sessions and provide timely schedule updates
  • Focus on early identification of potential delays and risks
  • Prepare schedule and progress reports
Requirements:
  • Engineering degree
  • Project management and industrial background
  • Experience with project scheduling processes and tools
  • Knowledge of railway products and good understanding of the Sub-System
  • Agility to juggle with schedules simulations and changing project goals
  • Rigorous, structured, and anticipatory approach
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Conflict management and multi-tasking skills
  • Collaborative management style
