About the Role

Alstom is seeking an experienced Turnkey Project Engineering Manager to lead the technical aspects of our turnkey transportation systems projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for system integration and system engineering, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects that meet our customers' needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tender Phase: Develop optimized solutions for turnkey engineering workpackages, collaborating with subsystem technical managers to ensure technical, performance, and cost efficiency.
  • Technical Relationship Management: Foster strong relationships with consortium partners and clients, ensuring effective communication and technical alignment.
  • Performance Calculations: Validate hypotheses and results for performance calculations, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
  • System Specifications: Validate system specifications and interfaces specifications produced by your team, ensuring technical consistency and accuracy.
  • System Configuration and Requirement Management: Control system configuration and requirement management in accordance with design milestones, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  • Design Changes: Manage design changes related to transport system definition throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring minimal impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Preliminary and Final Designs: Monitor the progress of preliminary and final designs, ensuring alignment with project requirements and timelines.
  • Test and Commissioning: Collaborate with the Project Test & Commissioning Manager to prepare VTA activities, ensuring smooth project execution.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, develop, and motivate the Engineering Project/Tender team, ensuring high performance and productivity.
  • Methodology and Tools: Implement and ensure the use of engineering methods and tools, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Knowledge Transfer: Ensure the carry-over of knowledge from previous projects and current R&Ds, ensuring continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Project Support: Provide support to the Project Manager, ensuring seamless project execution and delivery.
Requirements
  • Education: Master's University Degree in Engineering
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in railway system engineering in an international project
  • Expertise: System Engineering methodology (MBSE) and Safety-oriented
  • Language: Fluent in English and contract language
  • Additional Skills: Wide knowledge of the rail environment and good coordination and communication skills
