About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Intern to join our team at Welch Packaging Group Inc. As a Sales Intern, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional customer service and driving sales growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop a deep understanding of our corrugated box business and its various departments
  • Build relationships with customers and provide exceptional service to drive sales growth
  • Shadow senior sales associates and sales managers to gain valuable insights and skills
  • Assist with sales and customer service tasks while learning the sales role
  • Contribute to the development of annual sales growth strategies
  • Make cold calls and service new and profitable accounts
  • Assist in servicing existing accounts and providing timely follow-up
  • Stay up-to-date on products, services, machine limitations, and costing variables
  • Process all required paperwork in a timely and efficient manner
  • Provide weekly pipeline updates to the Director of Sales and Field Sales Managers
  • Ensure new item information accuracy and turn in accurate monthly expense reports
  • Attend bi-weekly sales meetings and utilize sales resources for selling strategies
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn and grow with our company
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Highly organized and able to utilize effective time management
  • Previous customer service or entry-level sales experience a plus
