Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team at KATCO, our Kazakhstani subsidiary. As a key member of our procurement function, you will be responsible for applying modern procurement methods to address the numerous challenges and projects we face, as well as the regulatory constraints we encounter.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement from foreign suppliers
- Market studies in local markets (in collaboration with on-site buyers) to ensure compliance with Local Content obligations and enhance our localization of products and services
- Business follow-up and reminders with suppliers
- Monitoring of procurement activities and process milestones
- Particular monitoring of critical PRs
- Measuring procurement performance and budget tracking
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of procurement principles and practices, as well as excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be based in Nursultan, Kazakhstan, and will report to the KATCO Procurement Manager.
