The Communauté d'agglomération de Cergy-Pontoise seeks a dedicated Arboriculture Specialist to contribute to our mission of enhancing the urban environment through sustainable tree management practices.
This role plays a vital part in implementing strategic initiatives focused on climate change adaptation, biodiversity conservation, carbon sequestration, and erosion control within our community.
Responsibilities:- Support the maintenance and development of tree-related databases and geospatial information systems.
- Assist in drafting and overseeing contracts related to arboriculture services.
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of comprehensive tree management plans.
- Provide expert advice on legal matters pertaining to tree preservation and urban forestry.
- Collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including residents, contractors, and government agencies.
- Participate in technical workshops and contribute to the prioritization of arboriculture projects and species selection.
The ideal candidate possesses a degree in landscape design or a related field. A strong understanding of tree species, landscaping principles, and public contract procedures is essential. Exceptional analytical skills, creativity, and the ability to work collaboratively are highly valued.
