We are seeking a skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our innovative team at Verkor, a French industrial company pioneering low-carbon battery manufacturing in France. As a key player in our mission to electrify the future of European mobility, you will contribute to designing and developing cutting-edge battery solutions.

Main Responsibilities:
  • You will be responsible for designing mechanical parts and integrating them into product/processes, driving the design from concept to D-sample validation.
  • Act as a mentor to fellow mechanical cell design engineers and lead parallel innovation projects unrelated to customer projects.
  • Develop li-ion batteries for ESS or electric vehicle applications, planning, directing, and following up on project-related testing and industrialization activities.
  • IDentify and meet special customer requirements pertaining to Mechanical design.
Prerequisites:
  • Bachelor's or Master's in mechanical, materials, or similar engineering.
  • 6+ years of experience preferably in module, electronics, or sheet metal industry or 4+ years in li-ion battery design.
  • Experience driving at least one project from A sample to SOP.
  • Able to solve complex topics independently and with a team.
  • Strong skills in CAD and statistical approaches.
