Role Overview
As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you will play a crucial role throughout the sales process, facilitating technical victories and promoting the adoption of our innovative solutions and products. You will be a vital member of the Sales team, tasked with the design and architecture of Acronis platform solutions. This dynamic position offers opportunities for growth and career advancement. The ideal candidate will possess experience in cloud and security technologies, solution consulting, or sales, and will have a strong passion for exploring new advancements in cloud computing and security.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as an Acronis technology authority, conducting demonstrations and presenting Acronis products and technologies throughout the sales process and beyond.
- Collaborate closely with our sales team and business partners to articulate solutions for our service providers, partners, and end clients.
- Engage with customers, partners, service providers, and internal account teams to coordinate activities aimed at selling Acronis solutions.
- Assess prospective partners' and customers' business needs, market strategies, security protocols, and policies related to data protection and transfer.
- Manage strategic accounts in partnership with Acronis Account Managers to influence and develop sales strategies.
- Oversee customer evaluations and proof of concept initiatives for Acronis solutions.
- Execute technical troubleshooting and secure technical victories during the pre-sales phase.
- Present compelling solutions that address customers' business challenges, beyond mere technical specifications, while acting as a technical advisor.
- Conduct hands-on demonstrations and knowledge transfer sessions of Acronis solutions to customers and channel partners.
- Gather technical requirements, devise cost-effective designs and solutions, and present them to potential clients.
- Develop responses to RFIs and RFPs.
- Identify integration needs for MSPs' RMM platforms with the Acronis Platform, assisting in technical integration while collaborating with cross-functional and regional teams.
- Comprehend complex customer requirements and create innovative solutions.
- Provide valuable customer and market insights to Product Management, Engineering, Customer Service, and other relevant teams within Acronis.
- Mentor and coach new hires and junior Solutions Engineers.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience in a similar role within a cybersecurity organization, with a solid grasp of industry standards and protocols.
- Relevant expertise in data center IT architecture design and cloud-based applications such as Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace.
- Experience in designing backup, disaster recovery, and storage solutions.
- Familiarity with virtualization platforms like Hyper-V and VMware (experience with other platforms is a plus).
- Security experience in areas such as antivirus, ransomware protection, patch management, vulnerability assessment, EDR/MDR/XDR, email security, and data loss prevention.
- Proficient in developing and presenting business continuity solutions.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems (familiarity with Linux or other operating systems is advantageous).
- Technical background in databases like MS SQL, MS Exchange, and MS SharePoint; additional knowledge of Oracle and MariaDB is beneficial.
- Ability to convey technical and business value propositions effectively.
- Understanding of cloud-based services and solutions offered by competitors, along with experience in customer and sales opportunity management practices.
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills, with the ability to listen, think creatively, and resolve issues in high-pressure situations.
- Experience in building high-level customer relationships and actively engaging with customers, resellers, and service providers.
- Ability to articulate and comprehend Acronis technologies and their benefits in various applications.
- High level of discipline, attention to detail, and capability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy.
- Effective time and resource management skills with strong project management capabilities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to discuss and negotiate technical issues persuasively.
- Enthusiasm for engaging in relevant technical discussions on social platforms.
- Self-motivated, customer-focused, resourceful, and enthusiastic, demonstrating an entrepreneurial spirit.
- Willingness to travel, including internationally.
- Fluency in English and French.
