Our Limoges site is a Center of Excellence in Biotechnology for the European market, focused on clinical activities until phase 3. We are seeking an Analytical Scientist, Biologics – Mass Spectrometry Specialist to contribute to our growth.
The Role:
- Develop and validate analytical methods for drug product formulations, characterization, and testing of drug substances and drug products.
- Design and execute experiments, analyze data, and ensure the reliability of results. Present findings and planned experiments clearly and concisely in written documents.
- Author technical documents, such as protocols, test methods, reports, certificates of analysis, and operating procedures.
- Review technical documents for accuracy and thoroughness.
- Stay up-to-date with scientific and technical literature relevant to the field.
- Train, coach, or mentor other associate scientists and/or analysts within the team.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Science & Technology and Operations on technical transfer and scale-up support when needed.
- Participate in client meetings, providing technical support when required.
- Suggest innovative solutions to routine and complex problems within the domain of expertise.
The Candidate:
- Hands-on experience operating and maintaining mass spectrometers, with significant experience on Orbitrap systems.
- Proficient use of acquisition and analysis mass spectrometry software, particularly XCalibur and Chromeleon (Thermo). Experience with other software is a plus (Analyst, Unifi, Empower, Biopharma Finder, Progenesis, etc.).
- Ph.D. in analytical chemistry, biochemistry, chemical biology, or a closely related field, with experience working on protein mass spectrometry.
- Established track record of significant contributions as an individual technical expert, with the ability to thrive in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
- Fluent in English (verbal and written).
- This individual will develop analytical methods to support drug product formulations, characterization, and testing of drug substances and drug products.
