We are in search of a Chief Information Security Officer to lead our operations in France.
Key Responsibilities- Direct and actively participate in the establishment, execution, and enhancement of the IT security framework for the Binance platform in France.
- Oversee third-party suppliers, ensuring adherence to our security standards through active engagement.
- Engage in Security Risk Management with all stakeholders in accordance with established Security Risk Management Frameworks.
- Serve as the Senior Manager accountable for the Security function for Binance in France.
- Collaborate within the three lines of defense model to safeguard funds, data, and systems.
- Ensure compliance with all governance, regulatory, and compliance obligations.
- Play an active role in the Security Risk Management delivery as part of the management team and Board of Directors.
- Provide guidance and direct involvement in the annual IT audit plan and other internal and external audits related to Security Risk Management.
- Lead cybersecurity assessments and penetration tests following the PASSI testing framework.
- Manage hands-on IT security risk for new initiatives and any integrations with external vendors.
- Ensure all third-party integrations comply with necessary security standards, including SLAs in contractual agreements.
- Supervise the local security team and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the global department.
- Be responsible for proactive Security incident management, including timely reporting to senior management and other teams.
- Collaborate with the Risk Function to develop effective Business Continuity Plans.
- Conduct daily Security Risk Management and reporting to the French executive leadership teams.
- Facilitate internal and external audits, penetration testing, and all regulatory compliance obligations to ensure continuous adherence and reporting to global and local stakeholders.
- Proficiency in English and French, currently residing in France.
- Proven experience in international companies and cyber security within a regulatory framework.
- A blend of senior management and extensive cyber security expertise is essential.
- Active contributor to the security community through published works or participation in international conferences.
- Demonstrated experience in a global team within a dynamic, multicultural environment.
- Over 10 years of experience in the finance sector focusing on security and technology compliance in France or Europe.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in information technology, cyber security, or a related field.
- Track record of self-motivated leadership along with excellent communication and listening skills.
- Proven experience in managing cyber security operations, actively contributing to implementation efforts.
- Specialized hands-on experience in executing global projects involving international data privacy and information security frameworks, including NIST Cybersecurity & Privacy Framework, ISO 27001, ISO 27701, CIS, PASSI audits, and PCI-DSS.
- A commitment to excellence and a passion for collaboration and team success.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver effective business and technical security solutions, processes, tools, and project management within high-performing teams.
- A keen interest in the latest cyber security trends and emerging threats is crucial.
- Experience engaging directly with regulatory bodies and implementing their recommendations is mandatory.
- Relevant certifications are advantageous: ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, ISC2, ISACA, GIAC, PASSI.
