Job Description

The Production Line Supervisor conducts production lines, in terms of quantity and quality. He/she sets up machines and intervenes on issues encountered, while ensuring the proper functioning of programs and production orders.

The Production Line Supervisor performs their missions under the hierarchical authority of the Team Leader. They mainly carry out their missions within internal relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct the line safely to ensure production in terms of quantity and quality
  • Follow the production program, quality control plan, and preventive maintenance plan
  • Record production tracking, control, and traceability records
  • Ensure tool changes, format changes, and first-level maintenance
  • Intervene on breakdowns and inform their hierarchy of difficulties encountered and proposed solutions
  • Respect QHSE rules in force on the site (circulation in aisles, wearing PPE, selective sorting methods, good practices in terms of hygiene, safety, and environment, including BRC Packaging standard rules)
  • Protect all products against malicious acts (intrusion, sabotage,...)
  • In accordance with the program and production orders, the Production Line Supervisor is responsible:
    • For the proper functioning of production lines
    • For the conformity of manufactured and finished products corresponding to their field of activity

Communication

The Production Line Supervisor communicates with their team members, supervisors, and technical support team on difficulties encountered, quality, and actions taken.

The Production Line Supervisor is required to report any anomalies or dysfunctions to their superior while being a source of proposals.

Required Knowledge and Skills

  • Mastering of Atelier's computer tools (Pack Office,...)
  • Mastering of equipment necessary for the exercise of their functions (lines, metal plates,...)
  • Ability to operate vehicles

Qualifications

  • Diplomas:
    • BAC PRO and/or 5 years of experience on an equivalent position: machine operation and setup, safety, quality control, and hygiene
  • Habilitation:
    • Permit CACES and driving authorization
