Position OverviewHead of Infrastructure Investments, Paris
Reporting directly to the Vice-President of Infrastructure - Europe, the selected candidate will play a pivotal role in achieving business goals and enhancing the growth of our portfolio through the execution of high-quality infrastructure transactions that meet established risk-return parameters.
Key Responsibilities- Transaction Management:
- Carefully select projects for preliminary evaluation.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses that align with sector-specific investment criteria, including overseeing intricate financial modeling.
- Exhibit leadership throughout the investment process.
- Collaborate with team analysts to structure and negotiate transactions, including financing when necessary.
- Independently conduct thorough due diligence reviews utilizing appropriate internal and external resources.
- Prepare and present complex investment proposals to decision-making bodies.
- Asset Oversight:
- Diligently monitor investments and serve as a corporate director on Boards of Directors for assigned assets.
- Identify and create new opportunities to enhance value in monitored investments.
- Cultivate strong business relationships with leaders and various financial and industrial partners related to monitored investments.
- Assess, recommend, and implement strategies for managing portfolio interests.
- Participate in updating dashboards for each investment to ensure proactive oversight of activities, risk profiles, and fair valuations.
- Deliver quarterly reviews of managed investments to the overall team.
- Strategic Development:
- Thoroughly analyze sector challenges and priorities.
- Suggest investment themes based on analysis.
- Actively engage in forming strategic alliances through business development initiatives.
- Represent and enhance CDPQ's presence in the market.
- General Responsibilities:
- Serve as a resource for analysts.
- Regularly share insights and experiences with the team to enhance investment management quality.
- Contribute to the group's performance by fostering collaboration and teamwork.
- Assist in preparing internal reports in accordance with established timelines and policies.

- A minimum of ten (10) years of relevant experience in investment management within the infrastructure sector, with a proven track record of monitored and completed transactions.

- Recognized experience in the international market is advantageous.
- Extensive knowledge of infrastructure, energy, or related sectors, particularly in Europe.
- Proficiency in both French and English, both spoken and written, is desirable.
