Software Engineering Manager

About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineering Manager to lead our AUD Core team, responsible for designing and building distributed systems with cloud-native architecture. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, excellent communication skills, and experience in leading technically a project, cross-functional team or group.
Key Responsibilities:
- Accountable for performance and development of individuals and a medium-sized, cross-functional team.
- Influences the resource, budget and policy planning and sets concrete development plans for the team members.
- Has a mid/long-term vision of the activity and the business, influences the department's strategy based on a broad understanding of the environment.
- Drives and facilitates complex decision-making and innovation processes.
- Works with a high level of autonomy, based on management directions, escalating issues only when necessary.
- Coordinates efforts to diagnose and recover major incidents or escalations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's, Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field.
- Experience in designing and building distributed systems, ideally with cloud native architecture.
- Experience in lean methodology and practices applied to software development.
- Experience in operating critical services.
- Min. 3 years of experience in software development in one or more programming languages (C++, Java, Python, Go, Rust).
- Min. 3 years of experience in leading technically a project, cross-functional team or group, being accountable for planning, executing, and supervising the execution, direct reports development, performance discussions and disciplinary management in a large international environment.
