Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst - Logistics

Amazon is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Analyst to join our Logistics team in Tokyo. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for providing analytical support to optimize our dynamic and rapidly growing Amazon logistic network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare Amazon Logistics business planning and forecasting
  • Ensure excellent financial controllership over the Amazon Logistics financials, including month end close
  • Maintain data integrity and periodically audit key transactional data
  • Communicate financial performance to business partners as well as corporate finance team
  • Develop and implement policies that guide business team in improving and optimizing the process
  • Partner with Amazon Logistics Japan team to lead cost initiatives, including identifying and analyzing new opportunities
  • Partner with the Procurement Japan and Engineering teams to seek out new opportunities to reduce the costs of shipping supplies, including innovative means of packaging, and helping to drive the roll-out of these initiatives
Requirements:
  • BA/BS degree
  • 4+ years of experience in finance, business partnering, consulting, or a related highly-analytic field
  • 4+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
  • 4+ years of identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes experience
  • Strong PC modeling skills including intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong communication skill and deal with ambiguous situation
  • Native level/business level in Japanese and business level in English
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
  • MBA, or CPA
  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
