The Role
We are seeking a skilled SATCOM Engineer to join our team in the Defense sector. As a SATCOM Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of satellite communication systems for military and defense applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement satellite communication systems for military and defense applications;
- Conduct site surveys and installation of Telecom equipment (Antennas and associated equipment);
- Perform reception tests of supplied materials (SSPA, IBUC, LNA/LNB), frequency transposition, and maintenance;
- Diagnose faults, perform measurements, and rectify faults;
- Consult on bidding to provide expertise;
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A degree in Telecommunications and/or radio frequencies;
- Technical skills in radio frequency, particularly in the antenna field;
- Proficiency in measurement instruments such as oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, and network analyzer;
- Knowledge in antenna mechanics and electrical installations;
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with various internal and external stakeholders;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve complex problems;
- Excellent written and oral communication skills;
Clearance Process
The position may require access to information related to national defense secrets, and the selected individual will undergo a clearance process, in accordance with the provisions of the Defense Code and the interministerial general instruction on the protection of national defense secrets.
