Systems Administrator Apprentice

About the Role:

As part of the IT Production Department, you will join a vibrant and multi-skilled team, working within a technically diverse and progressive environment that utilizes innovative and secure technologies. Your responsibilities will encompass the operation and management of 80 interconnected sites at level 3, overseeing 600 virtual servers distributed across 2 high-availability data centers, managing 5000 workstations, and handling 5000 Active Directory accounts. Key responsibilities include:

• Ensuring the security operations of servers, networks, and perimeters
• Providing level 2 and 3 support for server and network issues
• Managing the server and LAN/WLAN network equipment
• Contributing to projects aimed at enhancing network and perimeter security
• Participating in the design of new architectures

You will work with a variety of technologies, including:

• Systems: Windows, Active Directory, Linux, VMWare, Citrix, PowerShell, Hybrid Cloud
• Network: HPE Comware LAN equipment and software, Operator Links, WLAN, OSPF
• Security: Bastion, EDR, SIEM, Network Segmentation
• Monitoring: Various monitoring tools

Candidate Profile:

We are looking for candidates with at least a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, who are eager to further their studies in system and network administration through an apprenticeship. A curiosity for new technologies and IT production automation is essential. You should be detail-oriented, possess a service-minded approach, and be capable of organizing your work efficiently. Strong interpersonal skills are vital for success in this role.
