We are seeking a highly skilled Innovation Data Scientist to join our Process Innovation team at Verkor's Innovation Center in Grenoble, France.
As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing innovative solutions based on cutting-edge technologies and solving practical problems. Your main work will involve understanding complex cases, conducting thorough investigations with diverse resources, and transforming solutions and technologies from concept to real production with support from supervisors.
Your primary focus will be on quality, efficiency, and unmanned topics to make Verkor a strong, competitive battery manufacturer.
Main Responsibilities:- 1. Problem Identification and Simplification: Identify complex problems, simplify them, and summarize them into an engineering model with support from experts.
- Recognize the underlying problem beneath phenomena;
- Understand causal relationships and prior knowledge related to the scenario;
- Break down problems into potential solvable tasks;
- 2. Solution Definition and Investigation: Define requirements, investigate potential solutions, clarify goals for each task, develop a roadmap of the whole solution, research available approaches, classify technical routes, analyze risks, and ROI;
- 3. Design and Validation: Propose concepts, draw a whole solution, provide Design of Experiments (DoE) of your design, select required components and software, initiate purchase or self-develop core functionalities, verify feasibility, and offer a deployable solution for production lines;
- 4. Reporting and Support: Report progress and results of the studies to other Verkor departments.
- Bachelor or Master's degree in Computer Science, AI, or a related field;
- At least 1 year of experience working with AI and innovation projects, with industrialization experience being mandatory;
- Experience in Agile-based software development is required;
- Mandatory knowledge of SQL, MySQL databases;
- All necessary techniques for data mining, such as data extraction, feature engineering, etc.
- Proficiency in machine learning techniques, including DL&RL;
- Strong knowledge of Scikit-learn, Pandas, and familiarity with at least one DL framework such as PyTorch, Keras, etc.
- R, & Matlab knowledge;
- Strong knowledge of Python, C++;
- Knowledge of time series forecasting techniques;
- Good learning skills.
