Job Opportunity
We are seeking recently graduated Engineers to join our International Graduate Engineers Program. This program offers a unique opportunity to work within a global structure and gain comprehensive experience across various engineering fields.
Program Details
- Home Base Onboarding: A comprehensive onboarding process to familiarize you with our company culture and global operations.
- International Assignment: A relocation opportunity to South Africa, the US, or Canada, where you will work on various projects and gain international experience.
- Job Rotations: Two job rotations, each lasting 9 months, where you will work on different projects and develop your skills.
- Project Delivery: You will be responsible for delivering projects to our clients, working closely with our team to ensure successful outcomes.
- Tech & Innovation Project Assignment: A 3-week on-site project assignment where you will work on a specific project, applying your skills and knowledge.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with personnel at all levels to become a subject matter expert in departmental products and processes.
- Install and maintain system BOM's & Routers for all products.
- Support projects to develop new products and/or processes.
- Participate in the APQP process, approving new products and processes.
- Support modification of processes and products.
- Plan and supervise the correct course of the statistical process control.
- Work together with all peers and customers.
- Engage and lead lean manufacturing activities focused on Visual Factory, streamlined material flow, waste reduction, and inventory minimization.
- Generate and execute continuous improvement projects targeted to reduce waste, improve product quality, and increase efficiency.
- Maintain documented standards systems for the department.
- Develop and conduct technical training for the furnace team as required for safe and effective operation.
- Assume a leading role in process improvement and coordinate quality and cost-reduction efforts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's / Masters degree in engineering (mining, mechanical, electrical, metallurgical).
- Fluent English (French and Spanish is a plus).
- International mindset or eagerness to be a citizen of the world.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong planning and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across varying departments to implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Six sigma, lean manufacturing, or 5S training or experience is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience with quality systems and process optimization is a plus.
- A first successful experience in an industrial environment (internship, work-study, graduate program) is a plus.
