Job Description:
">We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Learning Researcher to join our team at Inria. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing unsupervised anomaly detection methods in medical imaging, with a focus on longitudinal data.
">About the Project:
">The goal of this project is to improve the reliability of anomaly detection by leveraging additional information from longitudinal data. Longitudinal data consists of repeated observations of patients over time, which informs us on the progression of diseases through the evolution of abnormalities.
">Our research aims to model disease progression using deep generative models, such as variational autoencoders (VAEs) and latent diffusion models (LDMs). These models will enable us to learn efficient and compact representations of 3D images and reconstruct the image from the latent variable.
">Key Responsibilities:
">- ">
- Review the state-of-the-art in deep generative progression models">
- Select and implement promising models from the literature and evaluate their performance on T1w MRI of the ADNI database">
- Evaluate the performance of unsupervised anomaly detection by learning a model of normal aging evolution on control subject population">
- Compare the results with standard UAD based on reconstruction error or support estimation of the normative distribution">
- Transfer the learned model to the study of Parkinson disease progression based on the PPMI and a national cohort">
Requirements:
">To be successful in this role, you should have a strong background in machine learning, deep learning, and computer vision. Experience with PyTorch or TensorFlow is desirable. You should also be familiar with Python programming language and have experience with Linux operating systems.
">Benefits:
">We offer a competitive salary of €45,000 - €60,000 per year, depending on experience. You will also receive subsidized meals and partial reimbursement of public transport costs. Our team provides professional equipment available, social, cultural, and sports events and activities.
