About the Role:
We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator Assistant to support our transportation team in planning and organizing logistics operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in transportation and logistics, excellent communication and problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the transportation team to plan and organize logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient delivery of goods.
- Participate in the coordination of transportation modes (trucks, trains, airplanes, ships) to meet specific cargo requirements.
- Contribute to the management of cargo flows, ensuring a rigorous follow-up of shipments and timely delivery.
- Assist in negotiating contracts with transportation providers and logistics companies to optimize costs and services.
- Participate in resolving logistics issues encountered during transportation operations, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
- Support the administrative management of transportation operations, preparing necessary documents (transportation records, customs documents, etc.).
- Contribute to the analysis of transportation performance, collecting and analyzing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
Requirements:
- Strong interest in transportation and logistics.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in basic computer tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Previous experience in the transportation industry is an asset.
