Your Role:
As a key member of the Defence Infrastructure project team in Glasgow, you will take on the role of a Civil/Structural Engineer. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assessing project requirements and understanding stakeholder expectations.
- Providing engineering assistance and contributing to project evaluations.
- Reviewing project documentation and overseeing detailed design processes.
- Conducting technical evaluations of contractors' outputs and supervising construction operations.
- Defining and overseeing commissioning and decommissioning procedures.
- Collaborating with stakeholders throughout the project duration.
- Ensuring adherence to Environment, Health, Safety, Security, and Quality regulations.
- Contributing to the creation and delivery of training programs.
Essential Qualifications:
- HNC in Civil Engineering.
- Basic health and safety training for site assessments.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Chartered Engineer (MICE and/or MIStructE) status.
- Nuclear safety case training.
Experience:
- Expertise in civil/structural engineering.
- Design and evaluation of industrial steel, reinforced concrete, and maritime structures.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, UK standards, and Euro codes 0, 1, 2, 3, and 8.
- Experience across concept design, detailed design, and construction phases.
- Security clearance required; must be a Sole UK national or capable of obtaining security clearance.
