Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Project Manager to join our team at Alstom. As a Finance Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Main Responsibilities:
- Participate in the overall project management process, working closely with the project manager and other team members.
- Supervise, analyze, and support the financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Control the financial performance of the project, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective action plans as needed.
- Collaborate with other finance expert functions, such as tax and customs, treasury and financing, internal audit, and risk management.
- Establish strategic relationships with external financial players involved in the project.
- Support the project manager in risk and opportunity management, and sign off on contingencies and committed savings.
- Partner with the project manager and contract manager to manage contract and claim issues, focusing on financial topics and risk profiles.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in business, engineering, or a related field.
- At least 5-10 years of experience in finance, with a background in auditing and/or project operations.
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.
- Strong team working skills, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and knowledge of SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Desirable:
- MBA or Master's degree in finance.
- Previous experience in a railway company or industrial projects in a similar role.
