Our ambition is to operate 80 GW of renewable capacity by 2030.

Job Summary

The Head of Global Hypervision will lead a dynamic team responsible for real-time monitoring of our renewable fleet of utility-scale wind, solar, hydro, and battery storage assets from the Global Hypervision Center. This role will ensure early detection and follow-up of critical and high-risk assets in our portfolio based on internal (e.g., technical) parameters and external (e.g., weather or market price) factors.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of supervisors operating in two shifts (TBC) to ensure minimum daytime coverage of our worldwide activities.
  2. Define processes and procedures for daily monitoring duties, consult operations logs, reports, and dedicated analytical platforms.
  3. Prepare business warnings and alerts for regional, local, and central teams.
  4. Create and manage daily to monthly operational performance reporting.
  5. Ensure the reliable performance of ENGIE renewable assets through continual communication with Operational Area's performance monitoring centers/teams and transversal support teams in different countries, cultures, and languages.
  6. Facilitate data deep dives with multi-disciplinary teams, enabling access to datasets and tools for detailed troubleshooting, problem identification, solving, and validation.
  7. Test and validate AI and machine learning methodologies on global datasets, acting as a catalyst for implementation and industrialization at regional and local levels.
  8. Assist in developing or revising tools, processes, or procedures to enhance ENGIE asset/business performance and the effectiveness of the Global Hypervision Center.
Requirements:
  1. University degree; Master's desirable.
  2. Minimum of five (5) years' experience in managing teams within a Real-Time Operations environment in the electricity sector (generation, transmission, distribution). Knowledge of renewable generation and storage systems is a plus.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and French. Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a strong asset.
  4. Ability to guide teams and provide guidelines to resolve complex issues effectively. Experience in goals and budget definition and management, team management, evaluation, and development.
  5. Strong problem-solving capabilities with knowledge of project management techniques and principles.
  6. Familiarity with various software programs necessary for day-to-day operations, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PowerBI) and data analytics environments.
  7. Diplomatic, team player, and able to act as a mentor and advisor to less experienced personnel.
  8. Enthusiasm for renewable energies and energy efficiency. Enjoys analyzing and finding new performance value drivers.
  9. Sociable, independent, eager to learn, detail-oriented, and results-focused with strong reporting skills.
  10. Willingness to travel and manage a rotating team.
  11. Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies.
  12. Proficiency in using company computer systems, including Microsoft Suite and SCADA systems.
  13. Ability to act as relief during planned or unexpected absences.
