Your Role:
The Compliance Control Specialist will play a pivotal role in the establishment and maintenance of a comprehensive Level 1 control framework within the organization. This role is integral to ensuring that our non-financial risks are effectively identified, assessed, and mitigated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the development and ongoing refinement of the Level 1 Control governance structure, ensuring alignment with organizational principles.
- Define and implement the Level 1 Control framework in accordance with the Activities Processes Risks Controls (APRC) methodology.
- Oversee the management and reporting of the MyAPRC tool, ensuring accurate and timely communication to senior management.
- Act as the primary custodian of the Level 1 Control Library, ensuring it remains current and relevant for all stakeholders.
- Facilitate collaboration among Level 1 Business Owners, providing guidance and support to ensure effective control implementation.
- Develop and deliver training programs to enhance awareness and expertise in internal controls across the organization.
- Analyze and report on the results of quarterly control campaigns, providing insights to management.
- Serve as the main contact for local internal control coordinators, offering support and training as needed.
- Engage with various stakeholders to enhance data quality management and ensure effective risk oversight.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to engage with business units while maintaining an independent perspective.
- Strong understanding of the regulatory landscape and risk management practices in the financial sector.
- Experience in leasing or related fields is advantageous.
- Demonstrated autonomy and decision-making capabilities.
- Exceptional analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and coordination skills.
- Proficiency in Excel is essential.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience is required.
