Position: Combustion Systems Engineer

This pivotal role within the Statoréacteur Combustion division involves conducting comprehensive analyses and managing initiatives focused on the development and enhancement of a statoréacteur combustion chamber. Your primary goal will be to improve engine efficiency to align with anticipated performance metrics while adhering to established timelines and budget constraints.
- Assess and propose technical solutions while formulating a project plan that aligns with cost, quality, and schedule objectives.
- Oversee testing operations, from identifying requirements to analyzing outcomes.
- Execute studies utilizing departmental tools or innovating new methodologies.
- Draft technical documentation and detailed study reports.
- Engage in progress evaluations and collaborative problem-solving sessions.
- Contribute to the technical integration process and suggest solutions for operational challenges.
- Assist in the industrialization of technical solutions.
- Supervise studies or manufacturing tasks that are outsourced.
- Deliver succinct updates to project managers.
- Foster team knowledge and skills through sharing experiences and enhancing practices.
As a member of a team comprising around ten professionals, you will operate under the guidance of the Combustion work package manager. Collaboration with various departmental entities and external partners will be essential to successfully execute your responsibilities.
Possessing a background as a generalist engineer in Mechanical and/or Aeronautical engineering, you should have a solid foundation in fluid mechanics and combustion principles, alongside expertise in mechanical design and thermal transfer. Familiarity with programming languages (Python, C) and numerical modeling tools (Cantera, 0D models, etc.) is highly beneficial.
