About the Role:
The Mairie de Toulon is seeking a skilled Culinary Assistant to join our team in the Service Restauration. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for assisting the Chef de Cuisine in the preparation and presentation of meals for our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chef de Cuisine in the preparation of meals, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Participate in the production of meals, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation.
- Assist with the distribution of food, including preparing and serving meals to residents.
- Assist with the maintenance of kitchen equipment and utensils, including cleaning and sanitizing.
- Participate in the development and implementation of new menu items and recipes.
- Assist with the management of food inventory, including ordering and receiving supplies.
- Participate in the maintenance of a clean and safe kitchen environment, including adhering to health and safety protocols.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a culinary role, preferably in a healthcare or hospitality setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects, including food and equipment.
Working Conditions:
The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, noise, and physical demands. The role will require the ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a focus on providing excellent customer service to our residents.
