Job Summary:

ADM is seeking a skilled laborer to work as a barge cleaner at our American River Transportation Company (ARTCo) wash dock location. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our barges, while adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

• Clean and maintain the decks, hoppers, and covers of barges
• Operate equipment such as pumps, wash hoses, and cranes to clean tank barges
• Perform general cleaning and maintenance tasks on crane barges, shops, and yards
• Assist harbor boats, mechanics, and welders as needed
• Participate in safety initiatives and adhere to company safety policies

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a similar role is preferred, but not required
• Ability to follow direction and execute tasks under supervision
• Basic reading and writing skills to comprehend and complete various documents
• Ability to work in a flexible schedule and adapt to changing priorities
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to work in all types of climates and environments

Physical Demands:

• Standing for prolonged periods of time
• Frequent heavy lifting and bending
• Prolonged periods of kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders
