Role Overview
Are you an experienced transport project manager with a background in large-scale industrial operations? Do you have a strong commitment to enhancing business processes, ensuring timely delivery, and achieving client satisfaction? If you are seeking a rewarding career opportunity where you can leverage your project management expertise in a cutting-edge technological environment alongside an international team, this position may be ideal for you.
We are looking for a Transport Project Manager to enhance our supply chain operations, with flexibility to work from Gennevilliers, Sainte-Ménehould, or Poland, including two remote workdays each week.
The Transport Project Manager will report directly to the Supply Chain Director.Key Responsibilities
As the Transport Project Manager, your responsibilities will include:
- Mapping transportation routes across clusters (EUR, NA, Asia).
- Updating external flow MIFD per cluster, including storage solutions. Establish target MIFD and collaborate with plants and purchasing teams to execute the action plan.
- Leading the transport continuous improvement plan, including milk runs and cross-docking opportunities.
- Developing and defining databases for transport and packaging as input for load calculations.
- Creating and implementing scheduling tools for inbound and outbound transports, maximizing SAP usage and integrating additional tools. Providing training and support to plant teams on these tools.
- Establishing tools to assess the cost and impact of transportation options based on various MPS scenarios.
- Overseeing the deployment of transport management tools and training local teams.
- Leading the RSE improvement initiatives for transport, focusing on optimization, fuel consumption, and alternative energy solutions in collaboration with the RSE department.
- Managing technical projects related to automation and loading/unloading processes.
- Defining calculation methodologies to evaluate make-or-buy opportunities, including cost savings and CAPEX considerations.
- Collaborating with the Purchasing Department to define specifications for transport RFQs and assist in supplier selection.
- Contributing to stock reduction strategies through transport optimization and frequency adjustments.
- Enhancing warehouse layouts and organizational structures to minimize space and workforce requirements.
- Supporting the definition and implementation of HSE best practices related to transportation.
- Aiding in the improvement of customer satisfaction metrics (OTIF, deliveries) and leading specific customer transport projects.
- Establishing and monitoring Transport KPIs, such as truck load and costs, and managing relevant reporting.
- Reducing transportation and associated storage costs in collaboration with the Purchasing team.
- Leading the transport cost improvement initiatives for the ALBEA Tubes Product Line across Europe, North America, and Asia.
