  • Open to individuals aged 18 and above

Are you passionate about reducing educational disparities and empowering middle school students in their academic journeys? In this role, you will provide mentorship to students as part of a dedicated program aimed at academic support. Affordable housing options may be available if required.

Your Civic Service Mission

Goals

Through Service Civique, numerous students and volunteers engage each year to assist students facing educational hurdles and build connections within under-resourced communities. By addressing educational and social inequalities, they strive for a more equitable and cohesive society.

Responsibilities

In a designated educational institution, you will:

  • Facilitate group sessions weekly to guide students on effective study techniques and organizational skills, with the possibility of providing one-on-one support.
  • Engage in workshops covering various civic issues such as discrimination, digital skills, environmental awareness, and career development, in partnership with educational staff.
  • Assist students in their career exploration process, including support with internships, resume crafting, and cover letters.

Your participation will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational environment and invigorating the students' learning experience.

Throughout your service, you will dedicate 2 hours weekly to support a student in their educational pursuits.

Creative Initiative

You will have the chance to design your own project tailored to the needs of the educational institution. This position will help you develop essential skills such as communication and teamwork.

Take advantage of 6 weeks of training throughout the year focused on your mission, including group management and student engagement techniques.

Guidance and Support

Receive mentorship from the Service Civique team, including personalized support for your mission and future aspirations.
