We are seeking a highly skilled Network Systems Engineer to join our team at Fortinet, Inc. as a key member of our sales organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Support: Assist in qualifying sales leads from a technical standpoint, providing expert advice on network infrastructure and solutions.
- Sales Calls: Serve as the primary technical resource on sales calls, educating customers on network features, specifications, and functionality, as well as integration with existing systems.
- Networking Expertise: Possess in-depth knowledge of networking applications and solutions, including LAN, WAN, and Internet services administration.
- Post-Sales Support: Provide lead technical contact for identified accounts, working closely with the technical support team and engineering to resolve customer technical issues.
- Training and Development: Offer assistance to identified customers with post-sales training, ensuring they have the necessary skills to maximize their network infrastructure.
Required Skills:
- 5-8 years of experience in technical/pre-sales support as a sales or systems engineer.
- 5-8 years of experience in LAN/WAN/Internet services administration.
- Strong understanding of DNS, NFS, SMTP, HTTP, TCP/IP, and other network protocols.
- Knowledge of routing, switching, VPN, LAN, WAN, network security, intrusion detection, and anti-virus technologies.
- Experience with encryption and authentication technologies, including RADIUS, PKI, IKE, certificates, L2TP, IPSEC, firewall, 802.1Q, MD5, SSH, SSL, SHA1, DES, and 3DES.
- Strong presentation skills and ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience. A graduate degree is preferred.
