Job Summary:

A position for a Data Transport / Data Integration Specialist has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space in Toulouse. The successful candidate will join TDDT Data Transport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • The jobholder is responsible for all integration activities related to their area/technology of expertise associated with Data Management Use Cases at company level.
  • They act as a single point of contact for the project manager who has requested data integration support.
  • They take the lead on activities related to data integration from design to deployment, including testing in the integration platform of the provided solution as part of the User Acceptance Tests of the Project.
  • They set up and engage close collaboration with the associated Operation Manager to guarantee that the new data integration will be properly maintained and is in line with current performance/committed SLA.
  • They ensure close communication and relationship with Digital Project Managers jointly with Product Owner.

Key Dimensions:

  • Interface with Project Managers inside Digital Organization, with data architecture team, and with business when needed for clarification purposes.
  • Closely collaborate with TDD actors such as Data Governance and Data Engineers.

Main Activities:

  • Integration activities (design, configure, develop, test, and deploy) inside their product to accomplish requests from the Product Owner.
  • Define integration tasks associated with new development related to new Use Cases or needs raised by the associated Product Owner.
  • Support UATs and Deployment activities associated with new developments in close alignment with Service Delivery Manager.
  • Support Data Integration Platform performance analysis.

Key Outputs:

  • Information Flows up to date with the new data flows developed and deployed inside Project ARD or dedicated document if needed.
  • Data Integration Platform SLR up to date.
  • Configuration Mgt documentation.
  • UATs deliverables in alignment with Project Manager.
  • Deployment plan and associated acceptance criteria.
  • Data Transport technologies metrics.
  • Technical advice on architecture and integrations at task level.

Required Skills and Competences:

  • Mandatory:
    • Over 5 years of relevant work experience as a Data Integration Engineer.
    • Over years of hands-on experience in building ESB and/or ETL/ELT solutions/integrations for large-scale data pipelines.
    • Experience in handling data from a variety of sources like CSV, JSON, XML, relational databases, and so on.
    • Experience in databases (relational and NoSQL) and Infrastructure management at administration level.
    • Deep experience in SQL and NoSQL languages programming.
    • Deep experience in programming languages related to data integration (Python, Flask, Node, JavaScript, Express …).
    • API-based services technologies experience would be a plus.
    • Experience in developing technical and support documentation, translating business requirements and needs into reporting and models.
    • Knowledge on DevOps methods and tools (some experience would be a plus).
    • Languages: English and French at negotiation level.

  • Project management with a key focus on agile methodologies.
  • Basic knowledge about Data Analytics.
  • Basic experience in IT Service Management principles.
  • Cloud integration experience.
