About the Role
As a Design Intern, you'll play a vital role in shaping Canada Goose's product line. You'll be responsible for managing and executing various aspects of our existing product offerings, ensuring they remain aligned with consumer insights, brand vision, and market trends.
What You'll Do
- Manage the Carryover assortment, including refreshes in color and print, style updates, refabrications, and core resets as directed by the Design Director.
- Oversee the end-to-end color process, from research and development of the palette to standard selection, management, execution, color logic, color keys, and labdip requests.
- Collaborate with design directors to establish seasonal color palettes that reflect current trends and brand identity.
- Execute print designs, review strike-offs, and work with senior graphic designers and external consultants as needed.
- Ensure premium execution of the core product line through seasonal updates in color and print, maintaining Canada Goose's reputation for high quality and craftsmanship.
- Coordinate and manage all design color tools, ensuring accuracy and accessibility for the team.
- Work closely with the Design Team and cross-functional partners to maintain project calendars and ensure seamless collaboration.
- Research and design a designated number of styles from concept to proto approval, as directed by Design Leadership.
- Execute special projects with the support of the Design Manager and Design Team.
- Collaborate with Merchandising partners to ensure all designs align with business objectives and market demands.
- Enter all required data into PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) and update as directed for all styles.
- Work closely with Product Development Engineers (PDEs) to communicate designs, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and updates/changes throughout the prototyping process.
