Job Title: R&D Software Engineer II

We are seeking a highly skilled R&D Software Engineer II to join our Release Management Unit and contribute to the development of Ansys Licensing as a Service (LaaS), a high-availability API service hosted on Azure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, implement, maintain, test, and document software modules and sub-systems
  • Employ best practices and understand the marketing requirements for a product
  • Perform bug verification, release testing, and beta support for assigned products
  • Work under the general supervision of a development manager
Requirements:
  • BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years' experience or MS
  • Strong computing skills with demonstrated knowledge of RESTful APIs, JSON schemas, sustainable development practices, and requirements for maintaining a business-critical service
  • Technical knowledge and commercial experience with developing a distributed API service written in TypeScript using Node.JS as a framework in an Agile development environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Technical knowledge and commercial experience with OpenAPI specifications, Azure tools and resources, and Node.js
  • Experience delivering high-quality products in a large-scale commercial organization
  • Understanding of customer requirements and tools used in this domain
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to learn quickly and collaborate with others in a geographically distributed team
