Shipping HoldCo
For legal purposes, the vessels of Orient Express Silenseas will be managed by Shipping HoldCo, a subsidiary of Accor Luxury & Lifestyle, responsible for the construction and operation of the Silenseas fleet.
Job ResponsibilitiesReporting to the Fleet Manager, the Environment Officer plays a pivotal role in executing the company's environmental strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
Overseeing compliance with maritime environmental regulations and ensuring their effective implementation. Staying abreast of innovative technologies and practices that can mitigate the environmental impact of maritime operations. Providing operational guidance in collaboration with relevant stakeholders.Core Duties:
Establishing and implementing tools and metrics to assess and manage environmental impacts. Monitoring the various certifications and agreements the company is eligible for. Preparing submissions for sustainable tourism and cruising certifications and initiatives. Developing and overseeing operational protocols for environmental protection, including safeguarding marine ecosystems and wildlife. Fostering awareness of environmental and regulatory issues among staff and partners. QualificationsInternational experience or background in environmental impact assessment and mitigation strategies. Proficiency in project management principles. Familiarity with maritime and environmental legislation. Knowledge of the maritime or boating sector. Insight into strategic business challenges. Capability to independently manage projects and assessments. Proficient in English (both written and spoken).
