We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Physical Design Intern. As a member of our team, you'll work on designing and developing physical design-related project tasks for Microchip's MCU, MPU, and WSG Business Units. You'll be responsible for implementing and documenting physical design tasks, collaborating with multiple teams, and developing automation scripts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Implement and document physical design tasks such as floor planning, placement optimization, clock tree synthesis, routing, EMIR, and physical verification.
  2. Develop and automate physical design flows.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve design goals.

Requirements:

  1. Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Coursework in Digital Design and Logic Synthesis.
  3. Scripting skills in Python, TCL, and Perl.
  4. Understanding of VLSI concepts in circuit design.
  5. Excellent debugging and analytical skills.
  6. Good verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills.
