Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Senior Python Developer to join our team at emagine Consulting.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new Python packages to support and qualify specialist algorithms used in an automation environment with Docker.

Additionally, the candidate will maintain and enhance existing Python packages for web service communication and test automation of specialist algorithms.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and developing new Python packages to support and qualify specialist algorithms used in an automation environment with Docker.
  • Maintaining and enhancing existing Python packages for web service communication and test automation of specialist algorithms.
  • Providing documentation and support to potential users within the company for utilizing the Python packages.
  • Managing the development of these packages as part of inner-source development, outside of the core development team.
  • Collaborating in an Agile SCRUM environment, contributing to regular sprints and working with the product owner to prioritize backlog items.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of commercial experience with Python.
  • Proficiency in Python 3 and experience with common open-source Python libraries.
  • Familiarity with REST interfaces and the OpenAPI specification.
  • Knowledge of Docker for containerized specialist algorithms.
  • Understanding of web services and web service clients in Python.
  • Experience with code maintenance and testing using Azure DevOps.
